Environment art is close to my heart of building worlds that tell a story! And that heart beats for moody places! This project took about 7 weeks half-time to create and a lot of time was put into the setting. The composition was inspired by https://www.artstation.com/artwork/xDoyEX as I explored his piece early on before pivoting to what we see today.
Shout out to Julia Nordlöf for being a cool collaborator and check out her character more in depth as well as other works!

Special thanks to my classmates and family whos support and camradery elevated both work and spirit!
The hard pivot early on is when I pivoted from the main concept into something of my own
The tarmac was a great exploration of how a material deteriorate and change over time. The water puddles was also a great part of learning the depth of material functions and its possibilities.
